poulsbohelp on wyoming hunt???
i drew a region D deer tag for wyoming, now the hard part is with limited time to scout anyone got any ideas where to start? or if theres any land that i can pay a tresspass fee to escape some of the crowds? any info. would help thank you in advance.
I would suggest you contact the DNR in Casper. Look on a map at the north, northwest area of Coal Mountain (maybe spelled Cole). Go a couple of miles outside of Casper on 220 heading west where the road gets closest to the mountain. There is a lookout on the north side of the road. Park there and hike up the north facing slopes of the mountain. About 1-2 hour hike up, you'll be right where you need to be.
Good luck

poulsbothank you so much for the info doc. i'll put it to good use

You're welcome. I've seen many a mulie buck cross the road there heading up to the mountain in the morning and coming down, heading north to cross the road and go to the river in the evenings.
I've not seen any bucks that would exceed 165 there, however. That doesn't mean they aren't there.
Keep us posted in a few months to let us know what happened.

Still have one day to apply online for a leftover tag if they have any in that region.
