NJ Death by Black Bear
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...d-group-friends.html

Ran ? turned on the bears predator/prey mechanism.? The five went in different directions !! I doubt very much that if the five stayed together this would have happened . Frowner

Sounds like a typical predatory black bear attack.

Group should have stayed together and fought the bear if it attack them.

Most any hand gun would have taken care of the problem.

But the it is NJ.

This would have been less likely to have happened if the tree huggers in NJ hadn't allowed the black bear population to explode as the result of a black bear hunting ban from 2006-2009. Then there's the gun laws there, and the habitat loss leading to higher concentrations in smaller areas, etc.

Sad to say that it takes situations like this to get support from the general population to kill bears.
