Antelope hunt openings
There is about a month left to apply for the Wyoming antelope draw. I have several openings on 2 private ranches. One ranch offers food and lodging, private guide, 3 full days of hunting for $1650. The other ranch offers the same hunt but has no facilities and the cost is $100 less at $1550. Accommodations are available close by in Gillette.

On this hunt you can take take one buck plus 2 does at no additional cost. My clients last year had 3 animals each on the ground by 10 AM of the second day. They had a ball.

If you don't shoot the first buck you see you should be able to take a nice representative buck of 13"-15". You will see literally hundreds of undisturbed antelope so it may be hard to hold back.

Contact me anytime for further info. and references.

I will be on this hunt myself in October.

Regards,

Mark

Fred,

License and WY Conservation tag comes to $248.50 for a nonresident. The tags for each doe are $60.00 ea. and can be bought during the hunt. The ranch near Gillette has been a 100% draw for five years with leftover tags each year. All the land is basically private in the area and there just aren't enough paying hunters to use all the available tags.

This hunt is really a slam dunk and just plain fun. I'm going over with some friends Oct.7-9 and expect it to just be a hoot without breaking the bank.

I'll give you the names and numbers of my hunters that went last year if you want. They had a terrific time even though they shot too early.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks Mark, I'll think on it. I'm putting in for Montana elk this year. I would like to better my only antelope to date, sounds fun.

tonto,

These hunts are priced pretty close to the bones as it is so I really can't give you a discount. The WY Youth tag though that your 16 year old qualifies for is $116.00 less than the adult license so you could save a little there. Also this is a perfect father/son hunt. You will both get to see the other take his antelope.

Regards,

Mark

Dean,

I know this may sound self serving but I think if you waited another year it might be worth it for you and your son. This is a great hunt and you'll be hunting relatively undesturbed antelope. I actually had a client ask the guide to please find him an antelope over 80 yards away if that tells you anything. Also you really will see literally hundreds of antelope on these ranches and the trophy quality is quite good. A cheaper hunt can be found but your likely to be hunting with quite a few other people or on public land with everybody else.

Regards,

MARK

Mark, do you have a website? I would like more info on this hunt. I drew a Colorado antelope blackpowder tag finally last fall and didn't get a buck. Hard hunt in the rain and snow and Colorado conveniently puts this hunt after the rifle hunt so the antelope start runnging about 2 miles away. Thanks!
