And for those wondering...I told him (the shooter) to make the deer grunt noise because if the camera guy does it its usually too loud and will sometimes be unnerving to the hunter. I'd rather just have the hunter do it

I once killed a fox the same way, he'd come to steal a wild boar I'd just shot, fox about 6 kgs., boar 65 kgs. gutted, I whistled and got the same bang-flop.

He asked me if he hit it because once he fired the spike disappeared and all he saw was that other buck running off
