frank4570I have an idea for a sight. What do you guys think?
This is just an idea. But I've always thought it would work well. I have a friend with a machine shop, so I could actually make it happen if I really wanted to.
The idea is to make the front sight out of a piece of black tube, basically. We'll say that at short range this tube would form a circle on a deers chest the size of the lung area. And this would be used for close work where we need a quick coarse sight picture. Inside the round sight would be 2 or 3 adjustable crosshairs which could be set for holdovers at different distances.
This would give the advantage of no magnification and an open sight picture up close, and still have some precision as the distance increases.
Thoughts?

VenandiIt's called a globe sight and they've been around since at least the mid 1800's.
