<OTTO>blurry leupold
My leupold vari-xII 3-9x40 is blurry. The focus ring makes no difference. I've tried window cleaner and alchahol. How about some suggestions before I call the company.

Terry BlauwkampJust send it back.
Leopold is one of the very best at repair.
Odds are you will get a new scope, or for sure get it fixed free.

GeorgeSChances are one of the internal lenses has come loose. Send it back to Leupold and they should fix it.
Don't use window cleaner or alcohol on scope lenses! It will remove or damage the lens coatings. Leupold will NOT recoat your lenses for free.

<Greg Y>Package it up and send it(insured) to Leupold. They will repair it or send you a new scope. Easy on cleaning the lenses. Buy a Leupold scope lens brush. It will do all the cleaning that you need . Good luck and good shooting...GREG

FYI: I called Leupold to ask how to clean my coated lens. The technician said the best thing I could use was acetone. I asked about isopropyl alcohol (what I had) and he said that was fine, too.

<monz>Send it back and order a Zeiss or Kahles, that blurry problem wont occure on them.

fla3006Leupold customer service is great, however, I have been disconcerted by the high number of fairly new Leupolds I have had to send back to clear up cloudyness (4).

That's pretty surprising. Acetone is a very strong solvent, and most isopropyl alcohol is sold diluted with water.
I'll stick to my Lenspens.
