crowrifleWeird looking deer.
Don't call BS on this 'cause I swear it is the truth. I saw a deer last evening that was black and white splotched. It looked exactly like a Gateway computer box. I have seen piebald deer and albinos, but never anything like this. Wish I had a gun because it would have made a beautiful pillow or cushion.
Has anyone else ever seen anything like that? And no I was not rocking the weed.

R FlowersHey, if you take enough genetics in school you will learn that darn near any abnormality is possible.
I saw a perfectly black cougar a few years back while hog hunting in Central California. I had a time convincing anyone till a local guy at the ranch said that just a couple of years before there was a solid black cougar killed on the highway near there.
I killed a wild hog in another area of California a few years back that was solid black head to toe. EXCEPT, that the end of his nose was as white as cotton. He looked like he had stuck his nose on a freshly painted white fence or something.
Odd stuff just happens in nature. In Texas I saw a deer a guy shot that had the most beautifull 8 point rack on one side you ever saw. The other side did not even have a button, never had a horn on that side as near as I could tell.

DocI have seen a Doe in Alabama that I thought was a black labrador retriever at first glance. She didn't have any white patches like a piebald, but she was definitely a genetic wonder.
Her hair in her ears was still white, she still had regular white markings under her tail and white throat patch, but overall, she was a very very dark deer. Almost black or smoke colored.
I've never seen another since.
