Drew area 652 in MT for mule deer. They only gave out 90 tags and the potential for a 200 inch buck is a reality. Anyone ever drawn this tag before? Any help would be appreciated!

While a 200 in. buck 652 is a possibility it is very unlikely, especially given the decline in the past 5 years. I would say anything over 170 perhaps 180 is a shooter. This area is not what it used to be.

I have had friends draw this tag and last year the guy I knew that drew never saw anything over 160 and he hunted it hard.

If it were me, I would think about access it by boat and running and gunning. In addition glass, glass, glass but be prepared to take something far less then 200 let alone even see one.
