Steffen, I can't help you with pointers to local shops (btw, is it Washington DC or Washington state you are looking for?). But I just thought I'd mention you can buy most of the stuff on-line from Weatherby:

If you are looking for something specific, it is often easier to buy on-line and have it shipped to your hotel in advance (assuming you or an acquaintance will be passing by Washington?).
