Best Bolt Action Rifle.....
Hi All

I have more than a few bolt rifles common to most hunters here, but the two or three I prefer the most when hunting deer and elk, in order of preference are:

1. Sako Lt Wt Hunter

2. Colt/Sauer 90

3. Winchester CRF

I like the Sako the most, because the stock fits my build the best and the weight/accuracy is tollerable.

The Sauer is a beautifully made, but a "pig" to carry.

The Winchesters, because their Winchesters. An American Heritage.

How about you? What and Why?

I never met a rifle I didn't like but I hunt with the Remington Model 7 Stainless Synthetic. They carry really well and are light and short but reasonably accurate.

I love Sako 75's for their excellent accuracy, quality and smooth operation,
I love Kimbers for their light weight, accuracy and beauty,
I love M-70's for their overall class and handling.......DJ

I go along with LD, I also like the Model 7 Stainless. I also have a Remington 7600 Carbine Synthetic in 30-06 that I am extremely fond of. In fact I find myself going to the pump gun more often lately.
