Another Georgia Buck
http://www.taylor.k12.ga.us/~tcss/deer/deer.html

Shot by my nephew about 5:30 this afternoon. 235 lbs by the scale, 11 points. Fattened on my corn and my neighbor's peanuts. Will's daddy and I were moving cows from one pasture to another and driving within 500 yards of his stand. We didn't even hear the shot. I haven't had the time to get all the particulars, but I think Will was on the ground and using a grunt call. One shot from a Ruger 77 ultralight .270, Federal Premium 130 grain ballistic tip. About 75 yards in the timber co. lease adjacent to our farm. Will is a pretty laid back guy, but this one got his juices flowing. He had gotten a picture of this buck on a trail camera about a month ago, and swore he was going to get him. He and his daddy have each killed a buck since opening day. The two deer total 455 lbs. between them. I hope it is my turn now.
