It is my understanding that it is their national drink.

GeorgeS,

At an average price of $38 / fifth you are probably right.

Paul H,
I did not realize that the Canucks were that well off.

What is better than 12 year Single Malt? 18 year old Single Malt. So on and so forth.

Paul,

Well, actually, besides beer, I would have to say our national drink would be Rye Whiskey. Most of those are blended whiskeys. Single Malt scotch is very popular here as well though.

Of the 12+ year old Rye whiskeys, my faves are CCC (Canadian Club Classic), Crown Royal and Gibson's Sterling Edition.

As far as price goes, well, you make room in the budget for the important things.

Just don't get drunk on Potter's scotch,(a cheap Canadian bar scotch) I still have nightmares about a hangover I got from drinking this stuff years ago in Lynn Lake Manitoba Canada
