<JJS>What is your favorite gun?
Daethorn,
My favorite rifle is the Model 70 .30-06 S/S with 3.5X10 Leupold shooting Remington Safari Grade 180 gr. (very accurate)
It got me 9 really nice animals in Africa!
I do love shooting its big brother: .375H&H with Leupold 1.75X6E.
I'm really looking forward to the Model 70 S/S .300 WSM with Leupold 2.5X8 that I'll pick up in ten days! I think I can make this gun my favorite! Time will tell!

HunterJimMy fave is the .308 Win Steyr Scout that I have taken a flock of critters with, usually with the 180 grain load. It is sitting next to my computer table so I can look at it from time to time.

<Terry P>It's hard to think of just one favorite rifle. One of my favorites is a 1953 model Winchester in 30-06. The action is slick and reliable and the caliber is a pleasure to shoot. I haven't shot many animals with it but I turn down alot of deer during a season. I guess I hunt more and shoot less these days.
If I ever got very poor I think the last rifle to go would be my old Winchester '94 in 30-30. It's just a plain old rifle with irons but I've shot a few deer with it and there's just something special about shooting a good deer with the old rifle. I've handloaded for it until the rear sight was as low as it would go and the lever didn't want to open but finally settled on the Winchester ammo. This being as accurate as my handloads and the cartridges are cheap. It's just a good solid little gun...and fun to hunt with.
Regards,
Terry

<JOHAN>My current favorite rifle is a ZG 47 in 270 win with 140 ballistic tip or 140 grain trophy bonded bearclaw. Soon the action from Ed Brown will arrive and i will have a new darling. Sniff Sniff SNIFF, Am i right? Do we have a Grunt from Uncle Sams Missguided Children here?

<Bearhunter>Wow, what a question! But, since I have to choose, well...
I have a LH Dakota M76 in .35 Whelen that shoots great and it amazes me with the effect that it has on game. This gun has a beautiful piece of Bastone Walnut with a Leupold 1.75x-6x inside of a set of Talley lever rings. I have a trap grip cap to place the rear peep sight into, which mounts to the rear scope base, once the scope is removed. All metal is teflon coated.
Just a great gun. It likes the 250 grain bullets, behind a charge of RL-15. Also, the recoil is very moderate. I don't notice much more recoil than from my hot loaded .30-06.

<338Lapua>My favorite rifle would have to be my Dakota 76 in 330 Dakota. It has exhibition grade bastogne walnut 4.5x14 matte leupold and dakota bases.
My favorite HUNTING rifle is my Magnum Research Mountain Eagle in 338 Win Mag, it has a McMillan Muzzle Brake, Burris 3-12 Black Diamond, Leupold Bases and Rings.

Battle RiverMine is a M70 Win in 270. Its a featherweight made in the mid 80's with a fiberglass stock(MCMillan)B&l 4000 3-10 Glass. Perfect deer Rifle under all conditions and utterly reliable.
Survived a bath in a flooding mountain river and even a nightmare of being stolen by natives(Recovered). Its a great unit because of the places we've been and the adventures we've been on

<modle 88>my favorite would have to be a winchester model 88 in 308 winchester.

larrysIt would have to be my 6.5-06AI that I had built a few years back. It seems like a part of me when I shoot it.

TomPIf I add up the time I spend with each one, the favorite is the 513T. My first thought was the 6mm-284, but I always take a .22LR to the range for entertainment while waiting for the barrel to cool on the big stuff.

375hnhMine would be my mid-70' Winchester M70, in 375h&h. If I could keep only one, that would be it. One of the most versatile calibers ever created, in one of the best rifles ever created.
