Cold BoreMy buddy has 38 last I knew, all pre-64. He just buys them when he finds them. Most get cleaned & go straight to the safe, and stay there. Not that he's afraid to shoot them, he just has so many that most don't end up being used. It's like an addiction for him...

CKNebraska,
That was the same story from me...........Never owned a Model 70...........Until I saw it, touch it, and shoulder it, I never knew what others were talking about until then. It was all over for me......I had to have the Model 70 Stainless Steel Classic left hand, and even in a classic round, the 30/06. Now I have TWO! One with the BOSS and one with out, all in 30/06. These rifles are truly modern classic's, of a old classic, in a classic round, the 30/06. These are my prized rifles.........The turning point for me was the Left Hand factor.
