hillbillybearHUNTING IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
HI FOLKS,
I HAVEN'T BEEN AROUND THE FORUM FOR A WHILE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TERRIBLY BUSY WITH COLLEGE. I FINALLY FINISHED MY UNDERGRADUATE WORK
AND NOW I'M IN GRADUATE SCHOOL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS.
MY QUESTION CONCERNS HUNTING IN THE NORTHWESTERN ARKANSAS ARE:
1. IS THERE ANY PUBLIC LAND AVAILABLE?
2. WHAT IS THE GAME SITUATION?
3. ARE THERE ANY SHOOTING RANGES/GUN CLUBS ONE COULD JOIN?
4. HAS ANYONE HUNTED IN THIS AREA BEFORE?
I LOOK FORWARD TO THE INPUT FROM EVERYBODY.
GOOD HUNTING,
HBB

<whisler>Public land both east and west of Springdale. Its been a few years but I have hunted over by Huntsville. Nice quite bow hunting but look out for opening day for rifle, the nuts come out.
I lived in this area in 1990. The public hunting areas by Huntsville have private land in the middle. Used to be an excellent bow club in Springdale, check the local bow shops....
