Fish30114204 ruger vs coyotes and bobcats
Is the 204 Ruger with the 40 gr NBT enough rig for Coyotes and Bobcats? Expected range is 150 yards or less.
Thanks for thoughts.

Bobby TomekYes, it is. It will not, however, be fur-friendly on the bobcats.

GrayDuckI have shot several coyotes with my 204 using 32 gr V-max with excellent results. All but one were bang-flops, the one that wasn't only went about 30 yards.
No problems with big exit holes but i did have one splash on entry. I think it hit a rib. That was the one coyote that ran. Sometimes you only get a fragment or two to exit if anything at all.

Wendell ReichA .204 will also shoot through a steel "T" post. Foud that out this week.
I was prtetty impressed.

Wendell Reich100 yards, exactly. A beautiful 3 shot group in a fence post. Two shots perfectly through the post and one just nicked it.
My target range is a wooden pallet placed over 2 T Posts. I staple targets to it. Put one target right over the post.
Oops.

Dagga BoyAbsolutely. And it shoots so fast the animal hits the ground before you pull the trigger.

Dr. LouWhy not, my 17 Rem with 20-25 grain bullets work just fine. Lou
