There is still a chance to book a good hunt in Wyoming for '07
Guys,

The regular draw for WY antelope is long over but there will be another draw for leftover tags in July. Particularly the chances of drawing a leftover tag in Area 23 where the below mentioned Gillette ranch is are basically 100% as there are often hundreds of unused tags in the area. We still have several openings on both the below ranches so if you have not yet firmed up a big game hunt for '07 perhaps you should give this a try. Contact me anytime with questions.

These hunts are on extremely well managed private properties allowing you multiple opportunities to fill your tag. No shooting at 300 yard running goats. You will get nice broadside shots at less than 200 yards and often much closer. This an ideal hunt for a handgunner or muzzle loader enthusiast wanting an antelope.

Gillette area: Antelope 3 days $2000 per hunter. Price includes 1 buck and 2 doe antelope. Additional buck may be available for $1500. Additional does avaiable at $100 per animal. Lodging and food is hunter's responsibility in nearby Gillette. Expect 13"-15" nice mature goats and literally hundreds animals.

Kaycee area: Antelope 3 days $2100 per hunter. Price includes 1 buck antelope. Food and lodging are provided. There are less antelope here but trophy quality can be better than Gillette.

Also at Kaycee: 5 days 1x1 whitetail $3950 per hunter. Price includes 1 whitetail buck. Food and lodging are provided. The creek botom is loaded with deer. Expect 120-140 plus B&C bucks. Mule deer can be substituted for whitetail. A better deal is a combo deer/antelope 5 days $4950. Deer can be hunted early and late and the antelope throughout the day.

All the above hunts are fully guided and include use of 4x4 vehicle, trophy prep and assistance with delivery of meat to butcher and trophies to taxidermist if required.

I personally hunted both of these ranches this last fall and the below link will take you to my report.

If you are interested in any of the above hunts feel free to contact me anytime for further info and a reference list.

Hey Mark,

On another thread Cal is bitching that "no one wants to come and kill a doe on any of his leases".

Why not let folks who pay you for a buck hunt kill as many does as they legally can (4) for free? You claim these are "well managed ranches" yet you don't seem to be very willing to do any management. Still trying to make a $$$ even off a doe??? shame

MG,

We are trying to make a profit. No secret there. Previously we offered 1 buck and 2 does only. This year if in the off chance someone wants a total of 4-5 antelope and only a very few if any clients will we get and extra $100 each. That means for anybody wanting all those antelope they get 5 animals for $2200. I can't think of anywhere you can take 5 big game animals fully guide for that amount of money. Heck 2 guys could literally take 10 antelope and possibly 12 if they bought an extra buck. That's a pile of shooting for a couple of guys in 3 days.

Actually I'm going back next year with a previous client of Cal's to hunt antelope again. My friend is bringing his Sharps, I'm taking my 32 Special and I'm sure we will have multiple oportunities to fill our tags with really nice bucks. The hunting is just that good.

The ad for this hunt is not directed at you or folks wanting a DIY experience. It is an offer to non residents wanting a good opportunity to hunt undisturbed antelope as they should be, get a really nice buck and a truckload of delicious meat if they want.

Just to make things clear your comment to Cal implying that he shot mostly 13" antelope is just dead wrong. I personally have shot 2 antelope with Cal that topped 15 plus. I could have taken a 3rd but I chose a shorter horned buck that was more appealing to me personally.

Relax and enjoy your weekend. I will!

Mark

Sounds like a good time to me. What time of year does the hunt take place? July?

We went with cal a couple of times on the buckhunt & we shot xtra does at the same time. He's centering on biger bucks, but if you have time at the end of the hunt, he'll let you take does too
