Utah hunters - check credit card statement
The Utah Division of Willife Resources is starting to charge credit cards for successful applicants for big game permimts. My card was charged $508, so after 22 years I finally drew a desert bighorn sheep permit. I hope a lot of you also get good news.

armed_in_utahWhich Bighorn unit ??
I'm 12 pts & waiting....
10 more yrs I may to old.......
Did draw late big bull tag......now to get my sorry azz in better shape to hunt it.....
I drew the San Juan - Lockhart unit.
A few years ago I attended a Regional Advisory Council meeting where there was a presentation by a representative of the company that conducts the drawings. One thing I learned was that they start the drawings with the species with the most tags. If you really want a once-in-a-lifetime species, just apply for a point for a limited entry hunt. Otherwise, if you get a low number in the lottery, you will probably get the limited entry hunt. The first thing in the process is everyone is assinged a number randomly, the lower the better. If you get a low number and you have applied for elk and desert bighorn, there are more elk permits so you would get the elk permit.
