What did he allegedly do?

justanotherhunterI don't know yet on that particular set of charges. But wanton destruction is what Utah charged him with over the illegal canned guiding of the cat in 2018 that the feds just put him in prison over due to the Lacey Act, as well as the illegal use of bait for guiding clients chasing bears with hounds.
My guess is this is another similar case. There are credible rumors of others coming down the pipeline, which would align with the timing of this latest charge being the last day before the statute of limitations expired.

NavalukThe mossback, lemon, similar groups have hurt themselves and all outfitters plus hunters. To be clear, I primarily blame the clients who incentivize the commercialization of trophy size animal hunting. Think about the auction tag and governor tag clients.

DaleWade Lemmon has been in trouble for wildlife violations for years. He was always able to get the hunter or one of his employees blamed in the past. It has finally caught up with him. Utah will be much better off without him. There are plenty of honest outfitters you can book a hunt with.
It seems many of the people defending WL's actions are past clients. It is almost as if their personal hunts are now tainted by having done them with a convicted wildlife criminal.
It is an unfortunate situation, the entitlement of some to achieve the success needed to validate the cost of the machine. $30k elk hunts, $80k sheep hunts or guiding important people come with expectations that can be difficult to achieve without bending or breaking the rules.

Michael RobinsonI see Lemon has been expelled from SCI. Seems to me like the right move.

The governing documents require expulsion. They had no choice. It was the right move.
