Old New York Hunting Photos
Found an interesting site: http://www.kvvi.net/~windego/oldtime.htm

I realize many of our members think of New York in a certain way but you can take it from me that some of the most beautiful places imaginable are here and the hunting remains excellent!

So are you trying to tell us that deer can be killed with a puny little lever rifle that at most shot a .45-70 and most likely a .30-30? And those hunters didn't even have camouflage, just the plaid, preposterous! Someone should have told them that they also needed some sort of cover scent or a scent suit that kept in their scent. The other thing I noticed is that some of them smoked, how did they do that AND kill deer. I think they just found these deer dead in the woods and claimed them to be theirs. To think that people even hunted this way is amazing, we should tell them that they need the latest Gore-tex/Scenct-Lok/I-look-like-a-tree camo suit, scent-free soap and shampoo, at least a .30 caliber cartridge that launched a 180 gr. a very minimum of 3000 fps, or the deer would just laugh at them and run away at 2500 fps, easily escaping their .30-30's and .45-70's.
Just a little humor for a Monday.
