DocRe: Planning a Wyoming Antelope Hunt
Actually I made a mistake. It wasn't Laramie, rather it was Rawlins. Sorry.

rickt300Drawing a tag is by far the biggest hurdle. There is a great deal of public land you can camp on and hunt. It depends on what you are after as the older bucks tend to be in the more out of the way places or at higher elevations than most expect them to be. The area I am focusing on this year has only a 10 percent chance om my getting a tag, is all public land that you can hunt or camp on. Back to the drawing part, it makes no sense to search out a landowner till your sure you have a tag for that area. Beyond this order the Access to Wyoming's Wildlife book to help you decide which areas to draw for. All of the areas mentioned above are good adding areas57,58,59,60,61,62,63,64,68,91,92,96,90. If you draw a tag and can hit a beer can at 300 yards in a stiff breeze the first shot after drinking said beer and running the three hundred yards you will get an antelope.
