MotorCityLooking for a management deer hunt in South Texas 2016
I am looking for a deer management hunt in South Texas for my family.
Our main goal is to see a lot a deer and shoot a nice deer.
I am looking for a place that can take 4 or 5 hunters at a time..
Myself, my brother , my 13 year son and my 72 year old father.
We have hunted northern Texas several times and have had a great time.
We just want to see a new area. We would like to hunt later this year 2016.
Please send me any information. We are not looking to spend a ton money, just have a good time in Texas and shoot a few deer.
Thanks!

StonecreekWhat part of the state are you thinking of when you say "South Texas"?
In deer hunting parlance, we typically use the term "South Texas" to refer to the brush country south of San Antonio, and more particularly the area in a semi-circle roughly within 75-100 miles or so of Laredo. Even "management" hunts in the South Texas Brush country tend to be very expensive compared to hunts in the rest of the state.
On the other hand, if by South Texas you mean to include the Hill Country of what we call Central Texas, then there are plenty of affordable hunting opportunities where you'll see lots of deer, although they will be somewhat smaller than those of the South Texas Brush.
So, clue us in as to where it is that you're contemplating going.

MotorCityWe have only really hunted just NW of Dallas.
So, I guess I would be looking at Central Texas.
The key is for a grandpa and grandson to have fun hunting and see a lot of deer. I just go along for the ride.
If South Texas is still expensive for management hunts, I guess I would pass. Considering I am picking up the hunt for 4 or 5 people.
Again, we want to see a different part of state, see deer and have a good time.
Thanks,
