LDHunterRe: What We Have Here COMPLETE Failure to Communicate!
Quote:
It reflects my experiences with folks who get horrified and/or patronizing about the fact that we often (not always) hunt over feeders here in Texas. If they'd peel the onion back a few more layers, they'd realize why it's legal, and consciously so: We have such a large population of deer here, that were our harvest numbers to drop we'd have a bigtime overpopulation explosion. The result would be more deer in urban areas, more deer-auto colisions, etc., etc.
It's all about balance, friends.

LDHunterVarmint Guy,
I suggest you take a few days off from the computer there guy. They're only words on your monitor screen. You're outta control and hunting would be a LOT more fun eh?
Slinging insults at me isn't likely to get me upset or change my mind and the more outrageous they get the sillier you look. Aren't you gettin' a little embarrassed? This is more like a temper tantrum than a discussion about big game hunting...
I suggest you take all this semantics stuff too seriously obviated by the fact that you're ranting and raving on and on when you could be having fun talking about hunting or taking a long walk and enjoying the great outdoors.

LDHunterBlueNorther and Salixco,
The guide question is very complex and you both bring out some issues that I hadn't thought of.
I'd like to see you both expound on the points you made.
One day I hope to be able to afford a guided hunt and I will acknowledge that the guide is he who found and put me close to the game. It makes me much more the shooter and much less the hunter but doesn't stop me from wanting to get a chance at game I wouldn't otherwise have a chance at.
