9point3Who was Mr. Jones???
Who was Mr. Jones and why is there a cap named after him?
I have been wearing "Jones" caps for years and I was just wondering the origin.

StonecreekPresumably, you've been wearing a Jones cap in order to "keep up with the Joneses". Or maybe the way it sits on your head, it points "off toward Jones". Actually, the term "Jones cap" must be a regional colloquialism as I've never before heard it. But then, I suspect there are some common Texanisms that you wouldn't readily recongnize, either.

<AZOnecam>Why, that'd be me, and I'm downright proud that you're still wearing my cap.

Fred BouwmanOr you have to keep wearing it because you have a "jones" (habit) and can't quit.
