Lube for Cold Weather
The post on the Browning BAR made me think of this.
Anytime you need a lube that will not freeze or attract dirt/sand, etc. try E&L Gun Lube, it has worked well for me.

Always used powdered graphite on our FNC1's whether in the sand hills or the Arctic. Kept the grit from sticking and always kept things moving in -40 or colder.

I have some powdered graphite suspended in alcohol that works great. It flows into tight areas and then the alcohol evaporates.
