PWN375Re: 150gr SST or 165gr NBT for deer (.308win)
You won't be able to tell a bit of diffence in "on game" performance between the two. Use which ever shoots best in your rifle. I have killed over a dozen deer and deer sized game with the 150 SST and 5 with the 165 NBTS and could not tell a diffence on game weighing between 65lbs and 185lbs. Shots were from 40 yards to near 300. Placed properly those two bullets are very effective on whitetails.

Mark GStill kicking around the idea of one of these polymer tipped bullets. Finding that in Factory form you really only have a few choices. Narrowed to these two, do you take the added weight & sectional density of the 165gr NBT, or stick with the 150 SST for Speed & hope it holds up well? hmmm. The simple things that get the gears turning in the off season!
