If you draw a tag on white sands I have another guy to recommend, his name is Shannon Owen
Thanks you guys, I have an e-mail into him. The ram his hunter killed last year was unbelievable!

LionHeadSBT,
You do know that you're not getting any 'preference' towards sheep for having a guide for the draw.
You do for elk and deer but not sheep.
Yes, that is the way I understand it. Once I decide which outfitter to use, I'd like his area recommendations.

LionHeadOK. I got ya.
I hope you're better at drawings than I am... 10 years and I've drawn two WY elk and one antelope tag and that's putting in for just about every state's elk, deer, sheep and mntn goat. Finally just went to AK and got my goat.
Good luck to you on this year's draws.

DesertRamGood luck. As a non-resident, you probably have a better shot at a tag than I do. If you get a tag, and kill a ram, can I come and see it before you take it to WY?

You bet!
Another one I'm considering is Jesse Novak.

Not one of the outfitters/guides mentioned above bothered to answer my e-mail or calls. I guess it isn't worth their time unless you are a confirmed tag holder.

Wade DerbySBT, I know both GT and Bill, and have hunted with both of them. I also booked hunts for GT for many years. They do an excellent job and I just spoke to GT about a week ago. Be patient, as they are likely hunting. GT runs hounds for cougar. I would hunt with them anytime. Feel free to PM or email me if you want to discuss this.

twoseventySBT, Jesse Novack knows the desert sheep in SW New Mexico as well as any one. Has hundreds of photos of great sheep he has taken and guided two guys to Boone and Crocket last fall. His phone is 505-795-8259. I know the application is over, but he hunts the Hatchets and the Peloncillo.

Buy some Power Ball tickets your odds are better than trying to get that sheep tag.
I am a resident an have not drawn even an elk tag in 5 years and been trying for sheep since 1984. Oh well good luck.
I did meet a guy from texas on a Dall Sheep hunt he said he applied for sheep and was drawn the very first time he applied in New Mexico and The next year the first time in California. He should be buying lottery tickets.
Good luck
