RREESEHuge WhiteTail
Finally, some honesty in big buck hunting...
Here's a picture of the new world record whitetail. It was taken by the cousin
of a co-worker's sister's, uncle's, best friend's, son-in-law's cousin. Reportedly
it will score 2603-1/8 by B&C standard and was shot in West Texas on a really
windy day around a curve. Supposedly, this deer had killed a Brahma bull, two
Land Rovers and six Jehovah's Witnesses in the last two weeks alone. They said
it was winning a fight with Bigfoot when it was shot

HarrisIt may be hard for people to believe but a friend of a cousin's son-in-law's next door neighbor's brother missed an opportunity on one that was bigger than that.
He says that he was counting the tines to make sure he was taking a legal buck when he had a cough, a back itch and a hick up at the same time and the buck heard it 850 yards away. He shot at the running buck but his .300 Win Mag hit the ground just below the buck. He now says that it is a worthless cartridge and he has bought a .300 RUM now.
The price of knowledge is great but the price of ignorance is even greater.

daniel77I heard it was killed across the Rio and brought across in a boat filled with illegals and dope. Bastards even used an ATV to bring it into camp.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Like Hell!! I shot a 2542-3/8 here on Guam back in December and it was a hell of a lot bigger than that runt.
