Massive 36" Free Range Axis
Free range buck taken with us over the weekend. This one will be hard to top.
Great mass, big blades and a kicker to go with it. Right at 36 inches.

It looks great and the length is impressive. I was reading on how to measure Axis for score and it says the first main beam circumference is measured above the first point and the second circumference is measured just above the second point. Would the kicker count as the second point if it is below the front point?

With me not being an actual scorer I would need to ask one to find out. I would doubt the kicker would be counted as 2nd point since it is a non typical point but I could be wrong.

Very nice! Does the ranch feed protein? That antler shape is characteristic of axis that have protein supplements. It doesn't really affect length, but it they build mass like that and the ends of the main beam always taper down just like that.

We feed a little protein but there are many food plots and fields on the ranch consisting of higher protein forage.
