ravenrA few Bloody pics from Ole' Mexico
For the 1st time I got the chance to pull the trigger. An offered Coues deer and a semi feral
Mexican partner.
This guy who I have hunted with these past few years was just rabid about Coues deer.
We got into a STUD buck one morning and I thought Tavo was going to hyper ventilate.
We ended up not getting a shot a that buck and a couple days later I shot one for "camp meat"
Tavo butchered the buck and while doing so carefully removed the intact bladder and hung it off a limb. He explained that in 6 or 7 days the urine would dry down and condense, to be used for several home remedies including toothaches
stomach problems. I did say "Semi Feral"
Interestingly he told me that only the Coues deer urine could be used in this manner, that Mule Deer didn't work.
A message from the neighbor on the south
fenceline.
Love you too Dummond
Wrapped the trip up with a visit to see some friends in Tejas. Where I broke a few hearts...
Killed a few "Good Ones", Made some wages,
roamed some great country and best of all...
Got the hell out of frozen Wyoming.
Theres a few more pics on the "Hunting reports"
for those that are interested.
Enjoy and safe travels

drummondlindseyWhat you don't see in the picture is where I put an arrow on a buck track and wrote "buck". The deer that left that track was an absolute hammer so I wrote that and left the note to be funny.
We missed the buck on our side and he was 33-35 wide and pretty heavy.

505 gibbsIn full disclosure, the above was a joke, inspired primarily by envy that I have missed my Mexico hunt the last couple of years. I actually know Drum's wife and she is something to behold, the experience is surpassed only by the conversation she can hold. Sorry to upset the local members of NAMBLA.

daniel77Very nice! Love the rack on that mulie.
Gotta say that if fixing my tooth requires deer piss, I'll just hurt, but thanks anyway.

ledvmI see the old sawbuck in the tree and a set of withers and some legs hiding behind.
The potential was there to be right up your alley!

sevenmagltd.I haven't hunted that part of Mexico but I spent 23 years hunting Couhuila and Nuevo Leon states for wt deer. Outside of Africa, one of my most favorite places on earth. I think the solitude of the desert is what makes it special. Damn I miss it!!
To hell with the Cartels, I'm going back!!!
