Skibum, Ever cut Mesquite?

Ropes, It seems to me that Hunting in Texas is more commercialized than anywhere else I've been. I travel a lot in my work and talk to people everywhere I go about hunting. Texans seem to be able to put a value on each deer more than I've seen in other States.
I think Texas is way ahead of the curve on deer management and developing trophy deer but it's getting to where people are having to pay way to much to have a chance at a nice deer. It would be a complete shame to ruin all of the open space hunting in a state as large as Texas, but greed might end up doing it........DJ

My farther in law fills his tags every year walking in the hardwoods of Texas, anyone with the desire can do the same. Of course if you can not make the long walks you do not fall into this category. John

Hardwoods in Texas? What's that? Telephone poles? I love guys that bumble around in the woods. I kill a lot of bucks they push by me and never have a clue
