George, that trough has been there since 1950 at least, and hasn't been used in 40 years that I'm aware of. He's 37" wide at his widest outside point. I haven't scored the buck and probably won't, as I really do not care much.

BuglemintodayNice buck! I don't think I've ever seen one that wide.
Plan on getting it shoulder mounted or european mounted?

JGRaiderProbably do the shoulder mount just because he's so old and neat looking. I do love the width though too.

AtkinsonWhere he is hunting are some of the biggest Mule deer in the world IMO..They are far and few between in a big country that's hard as hell to hunt..I used to book hunts there but the ranch owner stayed booked up 3 to 4 years in advance and thats a hard sell..I could go hunt there, but at my age I can't walk all day in sand hills, camp on the ground and get up at daylight and keep tracking...Biggest we got was 230 plus some..The hunters have the option to rebook before they leave the ranch, most do just that and it makes the waiting list that much longer..I think some outfit out of El Paso leased it and they are hunting it with 4 wheelers...I don't think that area can handle that kind of hunting pressure, I suspect they will kill the big ones out or the big ones will hop the fence to New Mexico...dunno?
Nice buck Raider, congratulations.

TexKDSuper nice Raider. Excellent character all the way around and the deer isn't bad either.

I think he was part moose.

bwanamrmWow, one of the widest Texas mulies I have ever seen! Well done.
