Aoudad mantra: If it isn't going your way ... ram it and see what happens.
"Oh, a few kernels of corn fell out. So, whenever I want corn, I ram this green thing as hard as I can and I get food. I see how this works!"
Outback feeders are the only ones I have found that will stand up to anything, even Aoudad.

JTEXFunny story on THAT Aoudad.............
My wife had just shot him! A solid heart shot, when he took off he plowed into the feeder. I am glad the feeder was full he hit it hard.
I'll post her hunt report and a good picture of him later.
Your right about those critters.....I have several pictures of them rearing up and pawing at the protein feeders........notice the pile of protein on the ground in some pictures....

PWN375What a dream ranch for a hunter. Congratulations on a hell of buy. I don't know how you can afford to feed the pigs and Aoudad.

Just like an Aoudad. He probably could have avoided it but his little Aoudad brain said ... "I'm going to die? Well, I'm going to jack up this feeder before I go!"

I just use
Outback Spincast Feeders . Throws protein like a corn feeder. (That protein gets expensive doesn't it!)
32" hog panels, I use 8 of them and 24 T-posts ... and someone who likes to play in the rocks! Or I guess you could weld square tube panels and pin them together.
Everything but pigs will hop the short 32" (or so) panels. They are just under crotch high for a normal man, so no pain entering the pen. Enough grain or protein will make it out of the pen so you can still hunt pigs, but 80% or so falls inside where only your target animals can go.
Yes. Aoudad will jump larger panels than 32".

Thunder HeadIm certainly not an expert but I think the sika in the next too last picture is one big dude???
I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

JTEXThere were South Texas Feeder mechanisms on the feeders but I replaced them Spin Tech mechanisms (
http://www.spintechspreaders.c...ory-wildlife-feeders ). I have always liked them. They don't lose ANY corn to birds or coons they have heavy duty motors and digital timers so you can set them accuratley.
Great news on the hog panels, I think this spring I will be buying a truckload. Driving T-posts on this rock farm might be fun......
You are right, protein is too expensive to waste on the piggies so I gotta figure something out.
I hope the Boss Lady doesn't see that Sika before I do.......
