<AZOnecam>7mm WBY Mag Brass
Anyone know a good source for 7MM Wby Brass? Also, does ANYONE besides Weatherby make factory loaded ammo in the chamber?
Thanks,
Jason

R FlowersRemington for a while was chambering for the 7mm WBY cartidge. They started with a limited edition of their 700 Classic. They of course began selling loaded ammo and brass.
They apparently did not sell all the actions they made up for the Classics because the next year the 7mm WBY was available as a BDL.
The next year, there were NO offerings of the 7mm WBY in any of Remingtons rifles.
The loaded ammo and brass lasted a while longer, but is no longer manufactured by Remington.
I bought one of the 700 Classic rifles in 7mm Weatherby and really like it. I use nothing but Remington brass in it. BUT, this brass is in short supply (probably because of guys like me who bought all he could find.)
If you can find any Remington brass for the 7mm WBY you should grab it because I do not think they will make any more. They are trying to sell the 7m Ultra Mag and the 7mm Short Ultra Mag and they are not likely to push any more Weatherby chamberings.
Weatherby brass is just fine, but a little soft and grossly over priced.

Norma and Federal makes brass for the 7mm wby. Norma is the ones that makes weatherby brass. PMC makes some brass in weatherby cambering too.
I have 600 new NORMA cases but they are not for sale

Hornady makes factory loads in 154gr. and 175gr. in their custom ammo line.Their brass is the Frontier line, and they do not sell the brass for this caliber by itself.Trust me,I have a 7mm Wby also and have called them to just buy the brass.Their factory ammo does shoot well, but if you like to roll your own, brass for this caliber is hard to find.I found 3 boxes of Weatherby brass on E-bay not long ago and won the bid with $30.You can check on there from time to time and find some up for auction. Also,Federal still has some available in nickle plated cases if you can find a distributer that carries it.Try
www.wideners.com and see if they have any left,I bought a 100 rounds there about 3 months ago.

<JOHAN>I contacted Sinclair international.
They have NORMA brass for this caliber. It's not cheap, but makes nice home rolled missiles

OldFartThere was a guy on ebay selling PMC 257 Weatherby brass for $99 per 300. It could easily be necked up to 7mm size. I bought some for my 257 Weatherby, and the brass works great.

<JoeR>AZOnecam, Federal has several loadings in 7mm Wby. D&R Sports is closing out the Federal Premium 160gr. Sierra loads for about $27/box.

<AZOnecam>Thanks all for the info. I haven't ordered any 'cause I've been going back and fourth between the 7mm Wby and .300 Wby. One of my concerns was availability of 7mm ammo/brass, but looks like that may not be a problem.
Thanks again. I'm going to start a 7mm vs 300 wby mag thread - get ready for the hair to fly.

LongbobJason,
Midsouth is running a closeout special on 7mm Weatherby Nickle Plated (I like regular brass better) for a little over $18/100. It's a great deal!

KuduKingCabela's has Federal Premium nickel-plated 7mm WBY brass at a great price. I picked up 300 pieces for myself.

Brian MGraf&Sons is doing a close out sale of their Norma 7mm Weatherby Magnum ammunation loaded with 170 grain bullets for only $19.95 per box of 20.Can't beat that price with a stick compared to brass.
