Nice pictures Greg (is it realy you behind that beard?)

By the way what does your hunting looks like.

Is it 100% Bow and 0% Rifle or?

Yes that is me hideing behind the beard [Big Grin]
My daughter was 10 months old at the time and when I shaved it off after the hunt, She said "Put back, Put back" pointing to my face [Big Grin]
My wife was having nothing doing with that idea.

Ohio(where I live) allows rifle for varmints (ground hogs and if conditions are right coyote and fox in season)
Squirrel and rabbit is allowed with rimfire or shotgun.
Deer gun season is 1 week of shotgun shooting a slug, Blackpowder or handgun.
Soooooooo I used shotgun for my first whitetail the year before this trip. As I was hunting public land, it sounded like a war zone and I decided to befcome a 100% bowhunter in Ohio.
I have taken out the shotgun during deer gun season only once since. I have access to some private land so I might go again this season.
Occasionally I bird hunt with shotgun(I'd like to goose hunt with the bow sometime, but I don't know any really dedicated waterfowl hunters to go with)
I have also spring turkey hunted with the bow, I have had birds coming in but the only one that I could have shot, I jumped walking around the corner on a path and I had the shotgun at the time anyway [Smile] No shot [Frown]
I will use the rifle on a trip to another state with a very liberal season(like a deer ot 2 a day) to put meat in the freezer. But givin the choice I'll bow hunt every time.

Greg

Seems to be a nice way of hunting with the bow and I can understand you when your state has so few days for firearms.

In Sweden it is not legal to hunt with bow (tests are made by our wildlife department) and we only have one rule thet you cant use shotgun for the first 1 and a half month for Roe Deer. Ok one more thing, Big Game is only allowed with rifle and slugs are only ok for hogs. Our seasons are very long though. Roe Deers open August 16 for male, September 1 for kids and for all October 1 and closes at January 31. Hogs are allowed all year with some rules about Female with kids. Moose are allowed up to 3 months but are regulated with license.

About the bow I am thinking of try it next year in RSA since my PH is a Bowhunter. I wont hunt but try to shot with the bow. The hunting will be made with my 300 winmag.
