Beautiful Ram in some pretty tough looking country and a very neat spot where camp was made! Congrats to the hunter and his helper!

Thanks gents!
It was a wonderful adventure and we worked pretty hard and got really lucky to boot.
Thanks Larry for posting my pics. I sent them to him as motivation as he prepares for his backpack sheep hunt but I'm pleased he posted the pics for me.

Yes topgun, the "helper" on the left in the first photo is my brother and we've accompanied each other on near uncountable hunts, the likes of which span over 45 decades.

Zeke

PS: I spent most of the day yesterday cutting an English walnut tree into flitches and some were reduced further into gunstock blanks. The 5+ year wait begins before I can put a tool to them and create a gun handle. I'll composed a little hunt over-view in a couple days and those who are interested can peek at this thread again.

I can't remember what unit you drew for that hunt, so please refresh my memory if you would. I thought you two looked like close relatives--ugly as hell! Just kidding buddy!!!

Wow Zeke:
45 decades?? You've gotta be old bastards to have that many years hunting in!! lol

Rocky hills for sure. Dandy ram, congrats, am happy for you.

IF I was walking over those rocks I'd sure want a face mask at least as good as a catchers mask.
Know I'd try to kiss a few rocks.

Larry, good luck on your hunt too.

George

Thanks for all the nice comments ....and even for the few "not so nice" ones. LOL

Yes, I'm getting up there with over 6 decades upon the earth (some of you can relate) and pray for a couple more, Good hell, even my backpack is older than most guys on the internet since I bought it in 1976. It's been re-built and modified a couple time to keep it on the "road" and it's served me well.

This hunt was truly a dream hunt and NOT because it was easy. It was such because I've dreamed for forty+ years about vagabonding through Wyoming for sheep.

Very satisfying....and physically difficult.

That has to be "the trophy of a lifetime" and I envy you my friend because I will never get to do that!
