I have a client interested in a Polar Bear Hunt. Does anyone know a good outfitter and what is the price range?

The Inuit hunters and trappers associations outfit these hunts in canada. They are alloted a certain number of tags and then can sell some to sport hunters. If they cannot sell them they themselves hunt the bear. I know of 3 companys that can be found on the web that organize these hunts; Fred Webb, Adventure Northwest and Canada North. I am sure their are others and I believe some Inuit are marketing direct. (Banks Island?). Price depends on if it is an area importable to the US. If so you can expect up to 35,000 +/-, and possible charter costs. I don't expect their are any US importable hunts left since it appears the Feds are going to shut down all US imports.

Thanks for the information. I will google and see if I can find any of the agents you mentioned. These clients are coming from Europe, will the price be less?

Yes. Make sure to hunt an area that US hunters cannot import bears from, and you will save alot of money.

I've investigated all of the folks mentioned and they are all good. I hunted last fall with Ryan St. John of Henik Lake adventures - www.heniklakeadventures.com, email: heniklake adventures@gmail.com . I've hunted all over North America over the last 40 years and have never been with an outfitter that was any better!

Try Henik Lake Adventures - Ryan St. John.
I hunted caribou with them this last year and i heard he had a great polar bear season. Great guy and awesome guides - will bend over backwards for you.
Hunts are on Hudson Bay in Nunavut
Virtually 100% i think. He is probably booked, but a cancellation may come up and worth a try. I think his hunts run close to 35 thousand as well.
