plainviewChancellor Ranch
The Chancellor Ranch in SE Colorado is a former Ranching For Wildlife unit (owned by the state land board) that is now leased and managed by the Colorado DOW. I'm wondering if any of you out there are familiar with it or have hunted on the property?
I've tried to pull a license here for the last 2 seasons. haven't got one yet. Kind of a screwy deal, you have to apply to get permission to hunt the ranch and then after selected, you make arrangements through the DOW for the license.
I've been hunting Ranching for Wildlife properties almost exclusively for the last 8 or 9 years. Great places to hunt if you can get the tags.

plainviewI know what you mean. In most cases it appears you have to draw a license for that unit and then hope you draw for the ranch too. I drew a permit for the elk season and in that unit the licenses are over-the-counter. I'm looking forward to getting down there.
