Don't leave your GlenDel out during the rut!
Anybody see a buck running around in NW Oklahoma with the ass end of a GlenDel Rut archery target stuck in his antlers, don't shoot him, he is MINE! Just tell me where he is.

My son and I were practicing with our bows the day before Thanksgiving in the middle of the day during Oklahoma's gun season and the rut was in full swing. Unfortunately we left the GlenDel target out in the front yard of our hunting camp overnight. Big mistake.

In the wee hour of Thanksgiving morning my son and I were leaving for the morning hunt, and when I turned my truck headlights on, my target had been attacked by a roving, rutting buck. He completely ripped the body off the legs and pummelled the target to pieces.

I can't repair him because the entire hind quarters are missing. I searched about 1-1/2 acres surrounding our camp to find nothing. So if you see a strange looking buck with the ass end of a deer stuck in his antlers, let me know where he is!

And a word to the wise, don't leave a GlenDel Rut archery target out during the rut!

Prayer, planning, preperation, perseverence, proper procedure, and positive attitude, positively prevents poor performance.

The same thing happened to mine this year. Luckily, the bully left all the pieces and I was able to glue it back together again. Next year it won't be wearing any antlers.

Happened to me, too, a few years ago. I had it on 1/2" rebar, and it bent the target over almost to the ground. Fortunately, nothing was broken.

Neat pics.

I have a friend who has a few pictures of a buck mounting his archery target in the backyard. That is even more bizarre.
