Curious if anyone has used the 150gr Hornady Interbond on deer yet. If so What cartridge and velocity. How were the results? Did the bullet hold up well? Did it hit bone, etc., etc?

Mark,

I have used the factory 30-06 to shoot 2 javelina at 40 and 75 yards, 1 blackbuck at 100 yards, 1 pronghorn at 330 yards, 1 coyote at 150 yards, 1 whitetail doe at 90 yards and 1 big whitetail buck at 60 yards. All shots were through a shoulder or shoulders on all the animals and all shots exited. The pronghorn was a quartering shot. The whitetail buck ran the greatest distance and he only went about 50 yards and left a good blood trail. The bullets performed well with good tissue damage to internal organs and good sized exit wounds. I have also shot 150 grain loads in my 308 and 130 grain loads in my 270 and have killed 4 deer, one of these with a "Texas Heartshot" which provided the only recovered bullet (270 with 130 grain). This slug showed good expansion and weight retention. So far they have been great bullets for any sized game and I am looking forward to trying them in Africa this summer.

I've had great luck with them. So far they've accounted for about a half dozen deer. Do a search--I've posted pics of the one recovered bullet, and others might have as well.
