johnnie lairdGo to
http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/It is a great Ca forum.
Ca has excellent Hog hunting. Deer season has been underway for a bit and alot od season coming up. Ca also has many Black Bear on the top of the B&C list and has a very liberal season.
As a non-ca resident you have to get land owner tags for some Elk or Antelope hunting.
Lots of upland bird hunting and some of the best Duck hunting on the Pacific flyway. Lots of upland Bird club type hunting to choose from with long seasons.

Add to that the Turkey's are stating to become a problem in some college parking areas. On cold mornings the turkeys have learned that the hoods of recently parked vehicles are warm. Come back from class and find their tracks and leavings all over you vehicle. For more information on what is available for hunting in California go to
Big Game Hunting Information and check out the different links there. Lawdog

SevensIf you go turkey hunting near my house you wouldn't even have to try. If you don't road-kill a few of them driving up, you'll be able to shoot them out of the yard.
If you want the name of a great place to go blacktail deer hunting, give me an email. Another nice thing is the deer season up here starts around August, so it doesn't interfere with most fall hunting. The hog hunting is also great up here to.

I second everything Sevens has to say.
