Satellite maps--any suggestions?
I'd like to get a new satellite map or aerial photo of my farm. I've used TerraServer in the past but they have not updated their maps since 1999 and I'd like something more current.
Google seems to have updated their online mapping in the summer of 2006 and things look great there, but I have not figured out how to order a large map from them that focuses on my property.
Have any suggestions outside of hiring an air service?

NE,
No making comments about how Spring makes his living, supplimenting your income is a God given right.....I mean just the other day I was out at the meth lab and.....oh wait...never mind forget I said anything. I was never here.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.

I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.

JB,
That is a great site, especially when you're using it in heavily populated areas, but out in the sticks it doesn't offer the bird's eye view and the satellite maps are as of 1999. They may have updated their satellite views in some parts of the country, but as is normal around here, we'll be the last to get the latest version!

For great topographic maps try mytopo.com If memory serves they have aireal photography too but it may be dated depending on your area. Good hunting.

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

Google Earth is pretty damned amazing. You can see individual vehicles when zoomed in. Talk about virtual scouting...Dunno' how to order from them, as I usaully just print what I need, but I'd wager there is a way to do it...

Try this site at mytopo.com.

I think marijuana fields show up in green and meth labs in red. Big Grin
