I was just on the Missouri MDC web site and noticed they changed the Muzzleloader season to "Alternate Methods Season". Now during that timeframe that used to be muzzleloader, you can use crossbow, atlatl, archery equipment, 40 cal air guns, and my personal favorite centerfire pistols or revolvers.

I guess they want more deer taken.

MO could probably double their deer harvest and not make a major dent in the population. The car insurance companies are getting desperate. There were at least a dozen road kill deer within a 100 yards of our mail box in the last year. They are starting to move more again and there were two more dead this past week. It is not unusual to see 100 or more deer in the alfalfa fields at night on the farm I usually hunt. Doe tags are $7 and I have a new empty freezer in the garage...

To tell the truth.....they just want to sell more tags
