Alaska HunterWow, that is way cool.
I did a mountain lion in Meeker Colorado several years back. The snow was knee deep and quite fresh. The dog sounded 10 minutes after the release. As we followed there was a dead elk freshly killed by our big tom. you could see the struggle unfold in the snow. The tom had attached up the side of the mountain and road that elk down for over 100 yards. It looked like a dozer had come down through the brush and snow as it piled up. There was a melted spot in the snow where you could see that the lion laid up, resting before he began to eat.
To bad for him our dogs jumped him right at that time.
I'll never forget that picture in my mind.

CougarzInteresting thanks for sharing.
Years ago I was going up a forest service road and saw a calf elk that had just been killed by a cougar. The cat was hiding in some grass next to it as I drove past. When I stopped to look he was not pleased. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera handy.
