Well the young man was probably not told that a 243 wouldn't work, or that the shot did not have to be 900 yds to be macho, or anything else. He just went out and did it, without all the Hunting Magazine fanfare.

I showed the picture to my 10 yr old who looks a lot like the young man in the picture. It sure got my son excited about going out to hunt. He has been kinda following his mom's attitudes about hunting, until recently.

I had him take a bite of the heart I cooked on the buck I shot this year, and to his surprise he loved it and ate over half of it, which was all that was left. He had to watch me eat some of it and not get sick first. ( product of todays politically correct world).
