any other spring bear photos out there that you could share?

Is it just me or do I see the edge of a Forest Service road at the near edge of the picture?

Here is a 2009 Wyoming photo to share. One of our outfitters had this bear coming in to a bait site. He had a client spook it one evening and they never saw it again except on this photo.

I shot a beautiful blond sow and a black boar last week in Idaho unit 12. I'll add photos when I get the film back

Heres my Black bear from Vancouver Island with Jim Shockeys outfit in early may. Spot and Stalk hunt got to 30 yards.

Here is one from a couple of weeks ago in southern MT.



He is my first bear. Not a huge one, but decent. He squared at 5'5" and the skull measured an impressive 18.5" for a bear his size.

for you fellas in the western US, are these draw only tags or are they available over the counter?

I ask because I want to take my dad on a spring bear trip next year for my 40th birthday.

Montana is OTC, you just have to buy the tag before the season starts.
