I looking into a DIY late season cow elk hunt next year, if I draw a tag, on the HMA's in Area 7.

If anyone has hunted on them, can you give me any details as to the terrain, best time of the season to go etc?

I am thinking late November or December might be a good time. Hopefully snow has pushed the elk down for the winter.
