Typed the reply in e'mail and it didn't send!

Thanks for the reply, enjoy yourselves, this can wait.
When you get a chance, take a look at my .358 stock end of first page in: sporterized military rifles P17.

Basically a regular classic shape, +1/8" oversized with a long forearm.
Channel cut for 1 1/8" octagon as this is for a .72 cal M/L.
With the ramrod hole drilled.

I have the 38" long barrel and tang, and can send pictures by text only.

I have an L&R lock, haven't decided on the trigger or trigger guard yet. Could use some advice on that.

I have a hunk of Oregon maple I want to use. It's bigger than needed yet.

Just want it rough turned, rod hole drilled, channel cut. Maybe the lock inlet cut but,
we can work out the details if you'e willing to do it for me.

There's no rush, likely not before Jan. I just ordered a barrel that has to be paid for first
and will take a couple months yet.

Something to think about for now. Main thing is enjoy that trip, not often we can take one it seems.

Thanks much,
George

One mention of a 44 caliber pistol

3 mentions that they didn't have spray no biased there.

From the article
.

Even though no young bears were visible, Sommers stated that the bear’s behavior prior to the attack was indicative of a defense of young attack and the bear was attempting to reduce the potential threat to her young. Based on our examination, and her physical condition, she was not a lactating female and was likely accompanied by at least one yearling(s), which would be weaned and capable of surviving on their own

Of course she had to be protecting young what BS there is no evidence of young.

The hunters only saw the brush move why would that be an indication she was protecting young

Just more making excuses for what bears do. These people dismiss hundreds of years of human inter-reaction with grizzly bears.

From the earliest explorers on one knows that grizzly bears are short tempered and well attack humans.

Didn't know if the hunter would be charged? Really? After being bitten? Nice anti hunting greenie newspaper there. No pepper spray, fine! No one else will be bitten by that bear.
Glad to hear this encounter ended relatively well for the people. Now they will just havevto listen to bunny huggers harassing them forever.
