I got one of these in the mail today. I've been looking for something to carry a rifle with/on a large backpack, and had even decided to fabricate some kind of hook.

I put this on my pack and carried a gun around the house for awhile, getting into various field positions (kneeling, crouching, etc). I was very pleased with the product, and can't wait to use it this fall on a caribou hunt.

I used one to carry an 11 lb .270 on a sheep hunt. It works great AND I built a 7 lb (total) .300 WSM for the next one. I will still use the GunBearer.
