Jesse JaymesSleeping Indian "type" clothing
I am really interested in finding a similar type "outfitter" camo pattern jacket. These things are really expensive though! I have read some other post about these and King of the Mountain cloths. Even if I did have the cash, I live and hunt in New Mexico. I think getting out of a tent on an elk hunt is cold, and getting horses ready in the crisp morning air sucks, but it's only around 17. This last about an hour and then in the next two hours we reach 30. I don't need such extreme cloths. Really like the idea. Anyhow, every dude in Eastman's Journal has some type of wool clothing on, and I am begining to see more of it in other magazines.
Is there or are there any other brands of lesser cost clothing that anyone can think? of?

Leif WoldI buy a couple of pair of wool forest service pants for $8 a pair every season, dunk them in the stream and hang them in the sun for an afternoon and they're good as new. Insulated vest under a Carhart coat & I'm good to go. I carry a pair of rubbers for my boots sometimes, too.

NorsemanHave you seen the Columbia sportswear version?
Luckily I live in Portland where there is a Columbia sportswear outlet store although Columbia sportswear is a Portland, Oregon company. I can pick them up for $30.00 to $40.00 for pants and I believe the jackets are $50.00. The reasons they are cheaper is because they discount them seconds to get them off the inventory space. Also this applies to Danner boots as well.
Sometimes there a person from Oregon that sell Columbia clothings on Ebay at cheap prices. Maybe, if you like I could check the outlet store and see what they got left before the spring clothing arrives. Tell me what you want & size.

<Don G>I watch for the Belgian wool milsurp pants, when they get down to $5/pair they are hard to beat. Very scratchy, though, I can't wear 'em unless it's cold enough for longhandles underneath.
